Assistance / Hardware / Re: Any Pardus Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) or database?

Well, I have tought that there are so many "diagnostic" apps, like lshw, sysinfo, and so on - but none of them handling (listing) all my hardware state, or really configurable, or detects my newly plugged USB devices.
What if to implement an extension (or module) to tasma to see all stuff - all my devices (eg. current status - monitoring), and with some diagnostic possibilities - like printing test page directly, color calibration, changing sound output or net-tools on one common panel without the hassle of many configuring apps or always get terminal, dmesg and the others. I would like to see later also maybe bindings to the Hw database, link to hw manuals, and maybe to the PiSi to easily check driver updates for specified, or all of my hw. In this idea are so much potential... Or maybe link to e-stores to ordering... I know that idea is a bit crazy, but it could be useful as Pardus evolving.
What do you think?

Hi
thanks, i will surely check the list. I think this HCL listing and HW submission could be far more greater project, as it seems. On one side I think must combine the feedback prog. with translatable Pardon client - or On another side - If I thinkin' on this more, is it possibe to somehow unite the databases in one common place (portal), to get an sure list what runs on most Linux distributions?
Zoltan
Ps - HW Diagnostic possibilities in Tasma, as like in Everest?

Assistance / Bugs / Installer bug - unhandled exeption

Hi,
After we have begun the translation of the Pardus Lynx strings, some of my team members are reported the very same problem at installing, inside at manual partitioning part. If you try to manually make partitions with manually method you get what in scrshot will see. I have asked for screenshot, and I've got it now.
We hope this will help to flush this bug (or maybe this is not a bug).
Thanks
Zoltan, Pardus HU team
PS: I have asked for more information, and it seems this always happens, if you are ONLY formatting your already existing partitions, and let a go the installation process. If the installer finishing, you will be dropped out to the grub terminal. Or in between you get this picture at manual partitioning....

Hi guys,
Here is some new users, and HU_hu translators from Hungary. Currently we are maintaining quite many apps to turn to its UI to our language. Anyway, if it is poss., we hope we could also maintain Pardus po / pot strings.
Big greetings,
Zoltan
