3  General / General topics / Re: KDE4.1 anyone? on: August 24, 2008, 15:58:14 PM
It looks nice but it is hardly possible to say that Pardus is truely compatible with KDE 4.x yet. Personally I suggest you wait a little bit more but just give a try if you are able to handle all problems that you will face.
This is my personal experience, I tried but really didnt work properly and turned back KDE 3.5 immediately  Grin

And what is the conclusion? Did they tell you anything? It would be better to know whether we are going to wait or not.

Hi william,

I dont know what you are using for listening music in Pardus 2008 but I think mediaplayer plugin in repo will be your solution. I am using it and dont have any problem. Just in case I check the website that you mentioned in the bug report, it works very well.

take care...
6  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Internet connection suddenly fails after two months on: August 11, 2008, 21:09:32 PM
Did you try to connect by using console? It is not difficult all possible command comes when you write "network". In order to create a network: " network create " and then follow wizard. I am not sure if it works but worth to try. And it is possible to use some other commands to check connection such as : "iwlist"
And you can give these commands after login root. Well you dont have to be root but if you want you can give these commands as a root. By the way if you find some inconsistency between console and network manager, dont worry it is just an ignorable bug.
