Wow - great THANKS for this news, Willem. I can't belive -->KDE 3.5.10 is out know?! (I thought, that KDE 3.5.9 would be the last version)  @Andreas How about Look and Feel of KDE 3.5.10 - could you post some Screenshots? Thanks. |

What's wrong, if we use #pardus-de intead of #pardus-unterstuetzung ? I think user "selim_ok" registered this channel for german speaking Pardus Linux user too? Does someone know his e-mail addres or any posibility to contact him? |

i think it is not necessary because there would be too less users for this DE-channel.
have a look at all the channels of pardus
to compare other ones which are for german people from other distros and how they've been in use look for #pclinuxos-de and for #linuxmintusers-de....
I think same. Currently a german IRC is not really necessary, but perhabs in future - in fews yeas maybe. But not yet ... |

Hallo alle zusammen, am kommenden Montag, dem 1. September 2008, geht www.PardusUser.de offiziell online  Bis zum Wochenende wird das PardusUser.de Wiki mit wichtigen Artikeln für den ersten Start aufgefüllt. Die Website kann man jetzt schon betrachten, jedoch führen einige Links derzeit ins Leere. Der Spaß soll ja ab Montag beginnen, hehe  Eine deutschsprachige Gemeinde für deutsche Pardus Linux Anwender war schon lange gesucht. Nun werden wir einen ersten großen Schritt in diese Richtung in die Tat umgesetzt haben. PardusUser.de wird eine Community von Anwendern für Anwender - Jeder kann mitbewirken. Und weiß schon was die Zunkunft mit sich bringen wird ... Also bis dann viele Grüße: Gürkan "LinuxFanatic" |

Andreas, the first one on your list is in Turkish. That won't help many people around here...
Wouldn't it be a better idea to concentrate the Pardus forum in *one* place? (like here, as it is the one that exists longer than all the other ones). As it is, the documentation is scarce enough. Just my view of things... *like-minded as roverrat ^^^  * Pardus Worldforum (this) is an international forum for everyone, people from other countries who knows English, can also discuss together. And this is an important position. |

LinuxFanatic, you suggested that uninstalling ws going to be difficult. I simply listed all the installed packages using pisi list-installed and then removed all the ones pertaining to KDE4. I then rebooted, held my breathe and everything went back to my lovely KDE3.5.9 setup. I've not noticed any side effects, so I think I got away with it. When I tried to remove all selected KDE 4 Packages (by running KDE 4.1), than I get an error message from COMAR. So I loged into my FluxBox Desktop an there it was possible to remove all the KDE 4 stuff, without any erros messages. This ^ is one of my experience with KDE 4.1 on Pardus. The rest ist similar as your feedback. PS. have a look at your home folder, there are lots of hidden KDE 4.1 log-files. These files you do not really need, you can remove them. You will also find some KDE 4 files in /tmp/... too. If you compare KDE 4.1 with KDE 3.5.9 (as normal desktop user), so you will find only one big difference. KDE 4.x has more "Eye Candy" stuff, but it is not really beter than the old one. I think KDE 4.1 need's more time so work as stable as KDE 3.5.9 and so I will wait until Pardus comes with KDE 4.x by default ... |

Thanks for this positive reply roverrat. We will strive to keep the relations with the Pardus World forum (this) and other turkish portals always upright.
Concerning English I'm the same meaning too. Particularly English descriptions are very important, because not everyone can turkish. So we all need more english texts to translate them in our native language.
