Thanks Andreas. Wink I heard that Ubuntu 8.10 will come with great support for 3g modems. I think that's very important nowadays.

Sorry Andreas, you're right. People shouldn't be reading forums during work time.. Grin

Hi to all!

Does anyone knows if the Network Manager in Pardus 2008.1 allows a softer configuration of 3G internet modems?

Thanks!

Hi! Now that 2008.1 kde 4 is out, does anyone knows if it already comes with Pardus software?

Thanks

Will Tasma still be called Tasma in Kubuntu? I hope this will attract more attention for Pardus

Is Kubuntu importing Tasma in 8.10? Uouu! That's great news!

kde 4 is just for playing looking testing to get a feeling to it , yet!

tasma was developed to kde3 they are working to get it running for kde4 but maybe Kubuntu uses it before pardus does? They asked a while ago if they are pleased to use tasma in Kubuntureleases but i dont know if kubuntu now starts with kde4 and tasma or if they wait till its developed by Pardusdevs to use it in Kde4...

Ok, I get it now. It's just a preview. I got the answer back from Ekin.

My suggestion is that this live cd could come with some sort of "warning", since newbies (like me Tongue) could feel lost without TASMA and the other Pardus software.

Let's wait. Smiley

Why then release it? I've already sent an e-mail to one of the developers.

This is weird, to say the least....

Hi to all!

Can anyone tell me why TASMA configuration and all the other Pardus software is missing in the live cd version of Pardus 2008.1 RC Kde 4?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I see that is considered resolved but that's not true on my system and presume that others are having some problem, as seen in last comment of the bug report.

14  Assistance / Hardware / Re: UMTS G3Modem Huawei E220 How to get this working on: July 25, 2008, 13:02:48 PM
I think Pardus developers could put some effort on the development of simple approaches to configure 3G modems...
15  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: ipw3945 problem on: July 25, 2008, 13:00:29 PM
Update: this problem remains. After a reboot the network applet indicates that the network is checked but it doesn't show the IP. If I uncheck it and check it again, then it will have the IP visible and checked and the network working. This must be a bug.
