Hi Paulus,
did you try any of the boot options noapi, noacpi, noapm, noscsi or "failsafe" ?
I think that's a ACPI problem ...
But PCLinuxOS works with the old Kernel 2.6.18 well.

Anyone an idea how to succeed and get Pardus or PCLinuxOS on this machine?
By PCLinuxOS I had the same troubles with the newer Kernels 2.5.22^ .But PCLinuxOS works with the old Kernel 2.6.18 well.

I thought Pardus 2008 would be a possibility, but the download didn't complete.
I tried 2 times, and two times it stopped at 540Mb
You should not try Pardus 2008 yet, because currently it is a beta version - not a final.I tried 2 times, and two times it stopped at 540Mb

Tried pclinuxos with acpi=off, didn't work at all, so I did no further experiments in that direction....
I don't know how to succeed
