Charlottetown or Summerside? There's not much else on the Island is there?

I live just outside Kensington  , met my ex and lived in Bridgewater for a while . Beautiful place , but no work . It's great to see someone from this neck of the woods using a real OS . Here's a link to the bridge cam - http://www.confederationbridge.com/bridge/bridgecam100_9.asx

I done a bug search for spell check and got four results , all in Turkish . I'm not sure if the bug has already been filed , or if it ok to file a duplicate in English .I then opened a bugzilla account anyways , proceded to file a bug  , and couldn't read the bugzilla interface . Oh well .

Yep , I tried again just for the heck of it - no luck .

I currently run 7 versions of Linux , PC-BSD , and XP ( to pull dlls into my wine directory ) on three hard drives . I'm stunned by how far Pardus has come in such a short time - Tasma is especially impressive . Adding an option or two to GRUB , KDM , and PiSi ( which i see is mostly in the works for 2008 release ) will take Pardus to the top .

 Now that's strange indeed .

I just experimented with  the the latest Debian up to the point where it's installer gave me yet a different drive order for my hard drives . It is time for who ever is maintaining grub to get his crap together . This is not amusing . Each and every distro should give the same drive order results for the same hardware . No technical argument one way or the other over rides the fact that OSes should work together . This is nothing aginst Pardus , it's something everybody should get straight .

Inline spell check seems to be broken - atleast for US English . I even tried switching my country to the USA in Tasma - no go .
70  Assistance / Bugs / Skype on: June 12, 2008, 21:55:19 PM
Skype will not pick up sound from my mic . I'm running Pardus 2008 RC1 and skype_static-2.0.0.68 . Krec displays the same bug , but I don't think I've ever used it Wink . I've enabled duplex in Tasma's sound options , enabled extra features in the pulse audio settings , played with kmix and amixer . Nothing I do will work . The funny thing is that when mic boost is on I can hear feedback in my speakers , but somehow the sound is not getting any further .

I notice there is a "new" tab in PiSi . Is it possible to show what is actually new since the last repo update , and if not could it be possible to enable the feature ? In my opinion PiSi is a better package manager than Mandriva's , faster than synaptic - and darned near as feature complete .

I have the contrib repo enabled and don't see wxcam . Maybe it's not in the 2008 repo list yet ? It does look good though . Smiley

If you have Linux and have a webcam , this is your best option .

75  General / Wish list / BMPx on: June 11, 2008, 05:54:33 AM
It would be great to have BMPx in the repos . I've tried to compile the tarball , but had no luck - something about libsoup , no soup for me !!!
