Super !

It works perfectly.
So to resume :

Create a file in /etc/modprobe.d named snd-hda-intel.conf
Put these options in it :
options snd-hda-intel model=asus-mode3
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel,snd-usb-audio

headphones, micro (internal and external) works great.

Thank you Andreas for your discovery ;-)
5  Assistance / Laptop / [Solved but ...] : Sound Problem - Asus notebook (G50V) on: March 17, 2010, 14:09:29 PM

At the beginning I can't hear sound from headset nor use micro (neither internal one nor a connected one threw jack input)

So I created a file in /etc/modprobe.d named snd-hda-intel.conf
where I put this line (This options gives the better results)
options snd-hda-intel model=g71v

After restart every input and output is well detected in Kmix, the headset work.

I also try
options snd-hda-intel model=m51va position_fix=0
but it wasn't great at all headset and micro didn't work.

The only remained problem with the option g71v is that I cannot capture internal micro, the external one is ok.
And I didn't find a way to make the i-mic to be selected as a capture device. One thing to notice, the i-mic half work, when talking the sound can be heard in speakers. That's really the capture mode that don't do it.

I hope I'm clear.

If someone got some clues it will be good ;-)

See you.

Hi atolboo !

I'm using the latest version of virtualbox the 3.0.6
And I've uninstall the 3 modules associated to virtualbox with pisi.
=>'module-virtualbox-guest', 'module-virtualbox-guest-userspace', and 'virtualbox-guest-utils'

Hope it will help you :-)

See you.

I solved my problem with virtualbox.
To do so, I uninstalled virtualbox kernel module.

I also solved my pardus problem with my real install.
After upgrading the kernel I restart with the old one and selected the nvidia-current driver in display properties.

Then it's all ok with new kernel.

Thank you

Hi !

I've made a reinstall again in VirtualBox and I'll do pisi up and no problem with the 127 update.
But always display problem after update with old and new kernel.

I put a screenshot of the display problem.

I try to do a Xorg -configure but it didn't change anything after I replace the xorg.conf and reboot.

What can I try ? Could the pisi problem (that didn't seem to appear during my install but who know) responsible of that mess ?

See you

I'm with windows 7 Ultimate x64.
There is something wrong in the update because after update I got these display problem but it works ok with fresh install without update.

I'll do as I say yesterday I'm reinstalling the system, I'll do all update except xorg update to see if it's kernel or xorg or both problems.

I've finished reinstall, I've done all update except xorg update, display's problem come back, and both new and old kernel affected.

The same problem of distorted display apply with old kernel too.
To late this evening, but I'll try tomorrow to do a fresh install in VirtualBox of pardus to try these tricks.

I'll post the result.

Hi everyone,

I got the same problem but the trick didn't work. I always have distorded display.
Actually I only use pardus on VirtualBox.
I got an asus G50V with an Nvidia 9700MGT (problems are the same in VirtualBox and with "real" install)

So is there something else I can try to make it work ?

See you

Hi willem,

yes I'm using pardus 2008 final. Monday I will try to use another driver like another epson DX 4000 series.

I've try to use my printer with opensuse 11 (which did not use the same configuration) and it work with DX 400series driver (8400 driver wasn't avalaible on RC2).

So I'll put other information monday.

Good week everyone Smiley

14  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: Kbluetooth-Problem on: June 27, 2008, 23:38:40 PM

Some news about this problem.
First I notice that even if I put Bluez-utils to launch on startup (tasma -> system -> services manager) it seems not to be or at least kbluetooth services did not found the bluetooth adapter...

Second, I made some test trying to connect my mouse only with terminal and hcitool.
-> hcitool scan : OK I found my mouse and its MAC address
-> hcitool cc <MAC ADDR> : Seems OK (no error and no message) but the mouse don't work either
-> hcitool con : No connection

hope it could help finding a solution   Cheesy
15  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: network startup problem on: June 27, 2008, 23:29:20 PM
Hi andreas,

That was what i've done (configuring with tasma) but the when I reboot even if my connection appeared to be on it wasn't. So I needed to disconnect and reconnect.

But no matter, with final released it's ok.

Thank you.

P.S :

I havent found yet to use WPA TKIP connection...
