Hi Lisa,
I copied the sun-jdk folder from Pardus 2009.2 to Pardus 2011b. The Net banking site is working ok now.
The java plugin version in Pardus 2009.2 is 1.6.0_19 The One in Pardus 2011b is 1.6.0_22.
May be the Pardus Team needs to look into this.
Thanks Ganesh

Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Change Week Start day from Sunday to Monday [Solved]
|
on: December 04, 2010, 12:21:39 PM
|
Hello, I need to change the Start of week from Sunday to Monday. I get the locale as:loc = `locale | grep LC_TIME | cut -d '"' -f2 | cut -d '.' -f1` echo $loc
On Linux Mint 10, I edit en_US (i.e. $loc), change first_weekday from 1 to 2. Then run " locale-gen". Restart the computer and that's it. But on Pardus, I changed the en_US , but there is no " locale-gen" to generate it again. Or is there any other way to do it? Ganesh

Hi,
I Copied the files under " /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ " from Linux Mint 10 to the same folder in Pardus 2011 Beta.
The Dsl connection entry is shown in the NetworkManager applet. On Clicking the Dsl entry, connection is activated.

Hey great work by the Pardus Team. Yesterday I raised the bug and the problem is solved today.
Just received an Network Manager Applet update which I installed.
The problem is solved.
Thanks and Keep up the good work.
But there is still one problem. After installing the update, the DSL connection is shown but when I click on it nothing happens. No Message (if there was any problem in activating it).
I tried again by recreating it , but it is still the same.

Assistance / Software / Network Manager - DSL Configuration (Pardus 2011)
|

Hi,
I was trying to configure DSL connection through Network Manager. I was able to create the entry using Network Manager- Edit Connections. But when I click on the Network Manager Icon in the System Tray It does not sow the DSL Connection Entry.
I did the following:
Right Click on Network Manager Icon in System Tray Click Edit Connections Got To DSL Tab Click ADD Give a Connection Name Give User Name & Password and Apply.
What could be the reason?

Assistance / Software / Network Manager Problem (Pardus 2011 Beta)

Hi,
The network manager shows Auto eth0 as the default connection option when i click on it in the system tray. But when i go to the manage connections, i am not able to see it and update it. So I went on to create my own from the "manage connections" option of the Network Manager.
But the Auto eth0 was getting activated on start up and not the one i had created even though it was set to start automatically.
So, I went to /etc/Network Manager/ and removed this default connection. The problem for me is resolved for me now.
But i just wanted to know if there is any problem with Network Manager.
Is this a bug in the Network Manager?

Assistance / Software / Desktop Theme Changing Slow (Pardus 2011 Beta)
|
on: November 27, 2010, 06:44:47 AM
|
|
Hi,
The Desktop Theme changing is very slow. There is a several seconds lag before the complete change takes place. It was very snappy in 2009.2.
Other than this, I must say there have been no major crashes so far for me ... not any of the default apps in 2011 Beta. Seems this is going in the right direction.
Can't seem to find the reason for this.
