Strange error you have. I do not know what this reason is. I'm sorry,

Systeemfout: programma beëindigd.

Gebruik pisi help voor algemene hulp.
Gebruik --debug voor een terugloop.

System: Program terminated.

Use pisi help for general help.
Use - debug for a decline.

19  General / The Pub / A question is asked on my blog. on: December 27, 2009, 15:37:13 PM
You Chicken, I begin to be little interested in Pardus, so I have a small question about this. I have now tried Ubuntu 9:10 for a while, they had the worst bugs in the release seems to have resolved itself now, but one thing remains, new Ubuntun still enbarmligt poor performance when transferring files to / from NTFS-formatted disk .... So I am a bit curious as to whether this is an aspect you had time to try than on this newest Pardus? and if so, how it looks in this area

Of Fritänkare_66 ...

A question is asked on my blog http://blogg.idg.se/kylling/entry.jsp?messid=13640. I have no answer. Can someone respond to my blog or here, so I can pass on the answer.

You can answer in English in my blog

20  General / The Pub / Linux Console 1.0 2009 is here. on: December 20, 2009, 16:42:56 PM
(Interesting news not relating to Pardus or in competition with Pardus Forum's interest).

Linux Console is not a large project, it is led by Yann Le Doar that has created an amazing attractive distribution. It is the gnome that is the basis of this independent project. DisroWatch has this week written a review which was promising. Yes! It is promising, fun, creative and innovative thinking are a few words. Yann Le Doar is very good with updates to the software and patches, the project is not large. It is updated almost daily with the latest. There are many things that are good with this distribution. I myself have an opportunity to build and customize your own personalized dist/iso Linux Console Jukebox. Linux Console 1.0 2009, see the following version: Linux Console 1.0.2009 Multimedia, Linux Console 1.0.2009 CD, Linux Console 1.0.2009 DVD and my favorite Linux Console Jukebox. There were some issues concerning security in the article that you yourself can read about. But Yann Le Doar has already corrected this shortcoming, after DistroWatch had comments on the root procedure. But it was the only black cloud in the sky. Distribution has the absolute easiest installation procedure I have ever seen. So easy and obvious, it goes away five - ten minutes only. Then you are ready to begin your adventures with the distribution.

I agree with you Lisa. I have also KDE desktop with version 4.3.4., it works very well. But it is in testing stage you never know what happens. But continuing KDE desktop with version 4.3.4 works so well is no reason to discourage others from testing.  Grin

22  Assistance / Configuring Pardus / Re: [solved] No video result in Gnome MPlayer in Firefox and Opera. on: November 30, 2009, 00:30:02 AM
About Silverlight:
This plugin isn't supported by Pardus and can't be used in Opera.
And for me it's currently Novell Moonlight 1.99.8 (rigtht-click while playing a video).

.......... or chromium.
Huh? How did you get this working in Google Chromium? I only get the commercial that is shown before the video. The video itself is a black screen.

You have the right Atolboo. It works much better with gecko-mediaplayer, version: 0.9.6, release: 14, build 6 and gnome-mplayer, version: 0.9.6, release: 19, build 7.

I have uninstalled Silverlight Plug-In 3.0.40624.0, ( Novell Moonlight 1.99.8 ).

I have the same problem as you have in Chromium ( "I only get the commercial that is shown before the video. The video itself is a black screen" ).

Pardus 2009

You may be wrong. I can see everything on the  http://www.rtl.nl/actueel/rtlnieuws/home/ without problems. I do not have any problems with any video clips or movie in Firefox or Chromium.

I have the following in Firefox:

Silverlight Plug-In 3.0.40624.0

RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatible version 0.4.0.5724 built with gcc 3.4.6 on Sep 2 2009

Shockwave Flash 10.0 r32

2. Problem in Upgrade script.
For me it's the Upgrade script. For my hardware I can solve the problem (after upgrade) with
Code:
sudo pisi it alsa-plugins-pulseaudio phonon-gstreamer phonon-xine gst-plugins-bad gst-plugins-farsight -y
I can play sounds from /usr/kde/4/share/sounds/
The above command doesn't have to be the solution for every hardware.
And after doing some more investigations I will write a Bugreport. Grin

Atolboo you are a star. Thank you very much. Then we can conclude that experimental Upgrade-manager works with your solution for audio/multimedia. But the sound in system alerts is still a problem for me. But personally I do not use the  system alerts. Will be good to avoid.

No! I have not the same as you have in the syslog file. I have no warnings for any errors in pulseaudio.
Is your sound working after after a new installation from CD or USB ?
Maybe you have hardware which isn't fully supported by P2009.
But how do we solve this, you have contacts.
No, I don't have contacts. The only contact I have (and is available for everybody) is through Bugzilla.
Feel free to to make a Bug report (also include the result of a new installation).

Your conclusion is not logical, if my hardware isn't fully supported by Pardus 2009, ( I should not have any sound in my speakers). No! I've never done a clean installation of Pardus 2009. I have run Pardus 2008.2 and upgrade to Pardus 2009. I can not answer some questions on a clean installation.
29  Assistance / News & Announcements / Re: Upgrade Pardus 2008 to Pardus 2009 on: November 12, 2009, 23:55:45 PM
No! I have no idea what is wrong. ........
But you can check if you have the same first signal of this problem in your /var/log/syslog file.
That's the reason I listed this here.

No! I have not the same as you have in the syslog file. I have no warnings for any errors in pulseaudio. I think we should contact the developers. I do not think there are so many who have tried the new experimental Upgrade-manager. It may be of interest for a developer to get our syslog file. It is important that developers are informed about what is not working. But how do we solve this, you have contacts. We should coordinate this, otherwise it becomes a bit messy.

Multimedia dies out and the whole system setup environment just disappear into a smoke.
I now have sound in Firefox, can listen to the radio in Firefox.
I have no sound in Amarok and other programs.
No system sounds.
I have the same result and the first signal of this problem in /var/log/syslog is
Quote

Bewerking niet toegestaan = Operation not permitted.
Don't know yet how to solve this!  Embarrassed

No! I have no idea what is wrong. I can not help you. I now have sound, but only in VLC and Firefox. But not in other multimedia applications Amarok, Kaffeine. It is strange that I do not have sound in other programs, when I have sound in VLC.
