I just tried to upgrade my current install to Pardus 2007.2 test beta as described by Eren.Turkay in  this thread:  (url]http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php/topic,1041.0.html[/url]

After doing

Code:
# sudo pisi rr pardus-2007
Repo pardus-2007 removed from system.
# sudo pisi ar pardus-2007-test --at 0 http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007-test/pisi-index.xml.b              z2
Repo pardus-2007-test added to system.
Update PiSi database for repository pardus-2007-test? (yes/no)yes

pisi starts the upgrade but when it gets to the package kdelibs I get the following error:

Cannot fetch http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007-test/kdelibs-3.5.7-59-53.pisi; HTTP Error 404: Not Found

I than had a look at http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007-test/ and noticed a version update of the package to -54 (kdelibs-3.5.7-60-54.pisi). I tried "pisi rdb" but that didn't make a difference...

Does anyone know how to get pisi to install the updated package?

I didn't have any problems switching to 2007.2, but have you tried maunally updating those KDE packages or trying to add the repository again?

Just on an aside, check the address in the Program Manager.  I just noticed that the z2 of xml.bz2 is out to lunch.

Thanks for the quick reply, Kavani :-)

No, I didn't upgrade any of the KDE packages by hand. The "z2" wandering off to the right side of the screen must have been the result of my copy and paste action...

pisi lr lists the repository URL correctly. The other packages get installed without any problems. The install just stops when it comes to kdelibs...

Just out of cursiosity: when did you upgrade to pardus 2007.2 test beta? The kdelibs package got upgraded *today* (June 17th).

Kdepim was bumped, so please re-try again. It will re-download the repo index and you won't get an error;

sudo pisi up

Just put:

http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007.2/pisi-index.xml.bz2

in the Package manager, and set it atop. No need to remove other repository addresses.

After this type: sudo.pisi.up

Thanks for the tips guys! I'm beginning to doubt my sanity however  Wink I just keep getting the aforementioned error "Cannot fetch http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007-test/kdelibs-3.5.7-59-53.pisi; HTTP Error 404: Not Found".

*Why" does pisi keep looking for this specific version of kdelibs? The file in the repository (I looked at both pardus-2007-test and pardus-2007.2, which seem to be identical) is

kdelibs-3.5.7-60-54.pisi                                     17-Jun-2007 03:35   15M

Huh, As I said, kdelibs version was bumped but I see, the repository index haven't been re-created yet. It's test repository and that's normal Smiley

Please remove test repository and add 2007.2 repository, It was my fault, there is a 2007.2 repo and I couldn't see Sad

sudo pisi rr pardus-2007-test
sudo pisi ar --at 0 pardus-2007.2 http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/pardus-2007.2/pisi-index.xml.bz2

sudo pisi up

I did issue a

sudo pisi update-repo

just in case before starting the upgrade.

Friday night.  June 15th.  I've found that sometimes a package needs a little help every now and again.  Cool, glad everything worked out.
