Where can I go to browse or search through a list of packages available for Pardus? Also, where can I go to request a package? Pardus is badly in need of Bluefish!

Packetmanager (Tasma => System => Package Manager). There is a search-field at the top.
Bluefish is already available in the contrib-repository (add http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/contrib-2007/pisi-index.xml.bz2 as a repository to the package manager).
Another webdev package is Quanta. It is available in the standard repository with the name kde-webdev.

Requests for software can be made at http://bugs.pardus.org.tr

Open a console window and type the following command to get a list of all available and installed packages

Code:
sudo pisi la
or
Code:
sudo pisi list-available

To list only installed packages do

Code:
sudo pisi li
or
Code:
sudo pisi list-installed

There's no online search though?

P.S. I've used Quanta, but I can visualize my code very well, so Bluefish works for me.

You can just go to:
http://paketler.pardus.org.tr/contrib-2007/ to scroll through all the packages in the contrib directory.

Much thanks. I see that this forum isn't dead, it's just sleeping and bored because people aren't asking for help.

We are just enjoying Linux as it has meant to be. Gaming, wordprocessing, managing pictures of family. There is so much more than configuring dull text files (although you can configure everything,   you dont HAVE to).
