I found virtualbox to run ms-xp virtually in Pardus with the most performance and features as to trying to emulate a linux distro off of an xp os using 2007 or vmware. Different strokes for different hardware.
currentl hardware, asus570sli deluxe,5200amd64dc,twin 7300 nvidias,2gig ram, soundblaster virtualbox, ran xp32bit with full volume and screen res.,but only 4 out of 10 games ran and couldnt install xp64bit home edition and some other ms software.
virtual pc 2007,ran Pardus with no volume and a 800x600 pardus desktop in a small window, even when going in full screen i could hardly navigate my desktop, i ran many linux apps, internetbrowsers, and games like torcs, openarena, and the p pracer, cool, but no volume. I like the way virtual pc 2007 can boot off an iso and freezes the os in its current state for restart.
vmware (workstation),wouldnt let me install Pardus x86 or any 64 bit os as it is running on a xp64bit home edition, only 32 bit os im assuming? i did get debian knoppixs to run but not my pro choice of distro's. VMWARE's strict registration and "COMMERCIAL" updating and upgrading of its trial software was very discouraging for me to continue testing it.
