ahhh. actually the "dashes" go ll the way across the top of the screen.. I hadn't noticed. I also don't use an nvidia card so not sure why they are there.It might be because I am running it as a guest in VirtualBox.

edit: I did another screen capture. this one without dashes although they seem to come and go
depending on what is focused on the desktop. strange.

.re-edit: I applied the fix mentioned in the link and the problem has gone away.

I have a sober one, but it gives the same impression as the Pardus system as a whole, solid as a rock, very stable and quiet (as opposed to working with MS Windows when your system is running all sorts of subprocesses and you can actually hear your CPU working all the time).

My Pardus system is just so fascinating quiet and stable....that resembles my wallpaper ;-)
