There is one more repository but only for Pardus-2008.

Who Gnome desktop wants to test, can add these repo.
Pardus-2008 and Contrib repositories must be added.
Code:
sudo pisi ar gnomeproject http://pardus-gnome.prj.be/pisi-index.xml.bz2 -y
All Gnome packages under Gnome section in Package-Manager and gdm package must be installed.

After Installation on console:
sudo service kdebase off
sudo service gdm on
and restart
or
install another kdm theme and choose it.
create a new user and login with gnome
Greetings
nkoc

Andreas,

Thanks for these threads. I followed them and I fixed the D-bus problem. I installed gdm and all the Gnome packages. I had XFCE installed earlier and I see it as choice when I log in. However, I do not see Gnome as a choice. How do I do that so that I can choose between KDE, XFCE or Gnome?

hope this works:

start your xserver again by
Code:
crtl + alt + backspace

log in again in your wished desktopmanager

if you did
Code:
sudo service kdebase off
so i guess do it again with
Code:
sudo service kdebase on

give it a try Wink
