How about adding dazuko to the kernel by default. It will be great to have a anti virus on pardus because number of Linux viruses are ever increasing, whether critical or not viruses are there. And dazuko provides on access scanning for anti virus softwares.

From the Wikipedia page you linked to:

"So the viruses listed no longer pose any concern as long as the Linux system is updated regularly."

I think the lack of activity on this forum is in part an indication of the lack of problems with this distribution...

Not impossible, but not likely you get a virus in your linux computer.
So its almost useless to use antivirus program for linux.....

I need to look into the dazuko, but if you can compile it, I don't think it would hurt.  Does it scan for windows viruses too?

dazuko is not a anti virus but a kernel module to provide file access control. It is used by Linux anti viruses like antivir , avg etc. Check the link i have posted and you will get an idea. It is also used by  klamav to provide on access scanning. Providing klamav and dazuko by default will act as added security, new user from windows will love it. Because windows users think that antivirus is a necessary part of any os.

I use klamav since I have a mixed OS network I maintain.  Thankfully the other users have been good and not gone disabling their own AV and firewalls.  I'll definitely read up on it.
