Hi,

I use Acer Aspire 5002 Laptop.

I had aboslutely no problem installing Pardus. Not a hitch while installing.
It is cool distro.

I dont find any reason why it will not install on the Acer Aspire you hope to buy.

I have not checled Wifi.

I had an Acer Aspire 1310 laptop, with a Radeon videocard. No problems exept for the modem (it was a winmodem...). But it had no WiFi.
Tip: go to the shop with a live-CD, and ask if you may try-out the laptop from this CD.

Jan.

Ah, same problem with my acer aspire 5050, I think.
Sounds is okay while listening via microphone, but the speakers are very silent. Do you recognize this problem and does anybody have a solution?

On my Acer laptop, I the output channel for my audio is called 3D, instead of the default output channel. So try some other channels with KMix
