I am not sure if this belongs to software or to hardware, if this is not the right place please feel free to move it.
I tried to find the configurations for infrared, but can`t find it anywhere.
I have infrared on my laptop and need it to use.
Can someone help me whith that and how to configure it and if i need to install any software for it?
I would much apriciate your help.

There's an infrared utility in tasma(hardware section). You sould install tasma-extra packege to see it.

I think you should forget about using your infrared device under linux. The support is poor and it's obsolete technology -bluetooth devices are more supported. However,you can try downloading Kmobiletools from PISI or the latest version from here-
