I reinstalled pardus on my 64bit machine. After updating  I notice my cd and dvd roms are not mounted or even there. As if Pardus doesn't recognize my cd and dvd device.
How can I make Pardus recognize my cd rom?

Put a cd in your cd rom.It mounts automaticly.

In Konsole, mount /media/cdrom0 (or 1, etc)  If that doesn't work, switch media with mnt.  To unmount, type in umount /media/cdrom0

That's really odd about the cdrom not recognizing.

Thanks for reply. Problem was both dvd and cd rom were pinned as masters, instead of 1 master and 1 slave.
I was baffled bacause dvd rom was still booting as master when I tested a live cd, though Pardus was unable to detect neither.
Thanks.

No cable select?  Sometimes it's the easy things that get us.  Grin
