hi, I need winedoors, if someone got it installed and uses it, can you please let me know how to and which package i need for pardus linux?
It would be great if these packages with all the dependencies would be in the repo, or is  this possible to add to the repo and how?
thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about what winedoors is, but I think cabextract is already apart of the system.  just type the command cabextract in Konsole (you might have to be root).  I could be mistaken though.  Maybe Eren or one of the other developers could give you more info on that.  Sorry ilanesh.   Huh?

hi kavani, winedoors is a software for to install windows software and games easy with one click and also it works better then with only wine installed.
But still it is need to also have wine installed and then you install winedoors and with winedoors the software works out of the box.
Here is the Link for wine doors. it is very good and pclinuxos and ubuntu and opensuse have it.

Now I see why you need cabextract!  Have you looked for the cabextract package from the installed software tab of the package manager.

Why  don't you just go here, and download the tarball. Read the installation instructions inside.

Good luck Wink

Hi CaptainCookie, thanks for your reply, but i have downloadet it and it is not doing anything when clicking on the icons, so I guess I have to wait till it will be in the repo, hopefully.
in the meantime i    boot up to opensuse, there it is installed they have it in the repo with all the dependencies.

no, have you read the README and the INSTALL text? It would probably say, that u have to type this in the Konsole:

First go to the folder, where you have unpacked the .tar.gz file. Then type these 2 commands:

Code:
chmod +x setup.py[code]

[code]python setup.py install

Good luck Wink[/code][/code]

this is what i get in the terminal.

python setup.py install
python: can't open file 'setup.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

chmod +x setup.py
chmod: cannot access `setup.py': No such file or directory

I tried this also befor, but nothing to do.
I am not good with technicial things.  Huh?

Err, I think that you are not in the right directory. Did you really unpack the .tar.gz file?

If you didn't: Go in Konqueror (click on the 'Home' button on the desktop), to the .tar.gz file. Right click it --> unpack --> unpack here. When it's ready, you will see that a folder appeared, with 'winedoors' in its name. Enter the folder. Right click 'setup.py'. Click on properties, select the 2nd tab. Mark 'executable'. Click on ok. Now right click on a whitespace in the winedoors folder. Select actions --> open Terminal. Now enter the following command:

Code:
sudo python setyp.py install

There you go Wink

It might give you some dependence error, just post them here and I'll see what I can do.
