Nice,

What are the advantage over 2007.2? (Yeah, I know it's Beta, but they  must have updated something, right?  Grin

I'll let you know, since there's not a whole lot of documentation just yet.  But I think that a lot of the contrib packages will make it to the stable repo.  Hopefully we'll see a new kernel for some of the hardware issues.  I'm a sucker for a beta project.  Tongue  If I can find some more documentation and maybe a changelog, I'll post it.

Having finished a few other projects, I went to do a clean install of 2007.2, only to find my cd damaged.  Sad  I believe there is a special repo for the new packages, but I do not know what it is.  Perhaps one of the developers can help us with that?

Okay, I have just finished the install.  Yali hasn't changed, still very easy to follow.  Turkish is still the primary language, so I had to reboot once I saw the first screen.  Tongue  I'm pleased to see the user setup is now before the install.  It flows much better than it did before.  The install didn't take as long (yay!), but yali hung up on finishing, which resulted in a hard restart.

And I had my hopes up!  Grin  The installer and grub entries both had 2007.3, however, the biggest change is the installer itself.  I'm still combing through, but it appears if you have an up to date 2007.2, you're not missing anything new.  That could change.  Tongue

These things will happen in Pardus 2008. And I guess it will be released like 2 or 3 months later from now. 2007.3 can be reached by updating from package manager, there are just software updates and fixes.

Yeah, as I was combing through, that's what I started to gather.  Silly me.  Cheesy  Thanks jnmbk.  Is there something big coming with 2008?

New version - that's great!

Will following the updates through pisi update the system or will I have to use a install CD?

Thanks

The beta is 2007.2, just up to date.  Tongue  The installer got a small face lift.
