I can't find XMMS in Pardus 2007 beta: not in the installed packages and not in the installable packages.
Because XMMS is such a famous program, I think I'm missing something. Where can I find XMMS?

That's because GTK1 is getting old and its maintenance is getting harder. They took gtk1 and gtk1 based applications to playground repo.

Here are xmms source pisi packages: http://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/playground/applications/multimedia/
And here are gtk1 and glib1 source packages:
http://svn.pardus.org.tr/pardus/playground/desktop/gnome/

Thanks for the info. With that I can install XMMS.
I didn't know that XMMS was based on gtk1 and glib1. Indeed: that's making it harder to maintain.

I think there is BMP and VLC which are forks from XMMS but I don't know if they are in the repos.

Try audacious, it's newer and better:
Code:
sudo pisi ar contrib http://svn.pardus.org.tr/contrib/pisi-index.xml.bz2 -y
sudo pisi em audacios-plugins

I tryed Audacious, but it looks like it has some problems with playlists bigger than 10000 . If I can't find a way to install XMMS, I'll stick with Audacious, although it gives me some nasty crashes, but if I keep my playlist under 10000, it's OK.
