Hi, I've got a problem with Compiz and ati mobility radeon x1600, I installed ati driver 7.11 today.
When I try to start compiz, the output is:
Code:
patap@barbara ~ $ compiz
compiz (core) - Fatal: No composite extension

Any ideas?

do you need this in xorg:

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

or this in section Device:
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "True"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"

Just a thought

fixed: after he wrote that and started compiz thru compiz icon instead of trying in console, then it worked.
