If I run 2 or more applications which has some sounds or music, only the first started application has sound rest are mute. I am using pardus 2007.3.

That's because the application having sound makes your sound card busy. I think, your card doesn't support parallel process. I had this problem in one laptop.

My sound card does, I never had this problem on archlinux, I installed this package in arch to enable this parellel sound http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?do_Details=1&ID=7262&O=0&L=0&C=0&K=soundmixer&SB=n&SO=a&PP=25&do_MyPackages=0&do_Orphans=0&SeB=nd

I have the no sound problem on my desktop.  Going through the mixer I've found my speakers turned off rather than not recognized.  Now, I wonder if perhaps the driver used need to be updated or if this is a good time to upgrade to kernel.

May be this is a kernel problem, hey by any change the developers are planning to add kernel 2.6.20 series and pulse audio in version 2008.
