Hardware4linux is a new website which can be found at http://hardware4linux.info/
On this site you are invited to add your hardware configuration so that others can see which parts of hardware are supported. Pardus is also added as Linux distibution, I think we should all submit out configuration here.

I only whish to see the Hardware4Linux collector for Pardus soon!!!!
Please, who can make a pisi package?

Actually, there is a Pardus package of hwreport, but it doesn't work ("scan-printers not found").
You have to download the hwreport tarball and build it from sources.

All my computers are registered on hardware4linux, I also encourage every Pardus users to do the same.
Don't forget to plug in all your peripherals (printer, scanner, webcam, etc.)

Cool!
Could you make a walkthrough on how to build it from source?

Here are the steps to follow :

1. Sign up and log in

2. Download http://hardware4linux.info/res/hwreport-0.9.4.tar.bz2

3. Extract by a right clic > "Extract here"

4. Check that the peripherals are plugged in (printer, etc.)

5. Open a terminal where you extracted the archive

6. Type cd hwreport-0.9.4

7. Then make

8. Log in root mode (su)

9. Type ./hwreport /tmp/report

10. Upload the generated report file /tmp/report.tar.bz2

Currently, there are :

Pardus 2007.2 : 8 systems
Pardus 2007.3 : 5 systems

And Pardus is 34th at http://hardware4linux.info/stats/#os
We can do better than this.
