I have to admit that Pardus is one of the better linux distros out there. It needs more work to support the wide variety hardware that is coming out these days. I installed Pardus on my toshiba, however, I wasn't able to get sound from the speakers. I tried getting drivers from ALSA but to no avail. And so I tried PARSIX, hailing from Iran. Installation was a breeze but what I was particularly impressed by was the graphics and resolution. I won't go any further into this because I think Parsix is good enough to speak for itself. All in all, I give pardus a score of 7.8 out of 10. PARSIX on the other has 9.5 out 10. Try it...   Shocked

Thanks for the information, but it's yet another GNOME centric Linux distribution like Ubuntu, Fedora or Foresight.
Nothing to see there for a KDE addict like me...

Parsix might definitely be worth a look for people who use Persian / Farsi as a language, with good support for Persian keyboards, an English-Persian dictionary and some free Persian fonts.
