Mac OS Extended (Journaled) external drive

My other computer (desktop) is a Mac-Mini running 10.4 and I back up my data on an external drive formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
When I try to plug the drive on my Pardus laptop, the OS does not recognise that there is a drive there at all. It just stays blank.
Any way that this drive is accessible through Pardus?

When you plug-in your drive, wait 5-6 seconds and enter the command below then paste the output of it.

Hmm... weird. Pardus should support HFS+ What's your filesystem of the drive? Isn't it HFS+? (Sorry, I don't know much about MacOs' filesystems. I think, Mac Os Extended is HFS+)

It says Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Maybe the journaling is an issue?

ok, managed to mount the drive using

mount -t hfsplus -o ro /dev/sdb /mnt/mac

Before that, I had created the folder mac under mnt
