Hi to all,

does someone know, how to create a Live-CD of an existing Pardus Linux (installed on Harddisk ...) ?

In example PCLinuxOS uses the application "mklivecd". So users of PCLinuxOS can make by "mklivecd" their own live-cd’ (an *.iso image, wich man can burn on empty cd or dvd media) …

Here you can read more about "mklivecd":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mklivecd
http://livecd.berlios.de/

I hope that futur releases of Pardus Linux will be able to creat of them live-cd's too Smiley

Hello,

you find "Isomaster" in the Contribut-Repo.

Perhaps that is, what you mean. Wink

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

With "Isomaster" you can only modify the content of iso images or create an iso image of several files, like compressed archive.

But you can't create live-cd/dvd from an installed Pardus operating system like especially in PCLinuxOS by using “mklivecd”.

Hello,

in the Contrib-Repo I found the program "acetoneiso", but I don't now, if it is the right one.

Mklivecd only works for Debian.

Pardus has its own tool to make a custom CDs, called Pardusman. It's currently
not user-friendly but as part of Google Summer of Code, it'll become suitable
for end-users.

And have a look here

No, there isn't nothing so solve; I had a question and get the answer for them. That's a Thread, where future users can discuss about making live cd/dvd’s of installed Pardus Linux systems.

If I have tested "Pardusman", than I will continue this thread ...

Hi Heiko,

at first you should build "pardusman" package from the "dev" repository, by using the PiSi finder tool namend "pisibul":
http://worldforum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=1539.0

After the setup of "pardusman" you can start it over a terminal.

Pardusman comes with a graphical user interface. It is a simple way to create your own Pardus Linux ISO-image (USB-stick, cd/dvd, a.s.o.)

I made my own Live-CD ISO-image, few days ago. But I haven't got enough time to try it real. So I hope that this weekend I'll try it  Grin

there is no pardusman in the repository,

You must build the pisi-package for "pardusman" with "pisibul"

The pisi-package from pisibul you get here

And with pisbul you can build the pisi-package of "pardusman".

I don`t know, if pisibul runs under Pardus 2008, because I work with Pardus 2007.3

Greetings
Andreas
