We used to be around 60 and have just under 100 hits a day.

We are now 73rd with 82 hits a day, and that fall over a month or so.

Maybe an announcement on the release of 2008 would help us stay high'ish in the ranking?

IMHO we don't need ranking azra. I prefer staying at the buttom of the list. That's more fun. Hehe

There is a more useful ranking where all of you could make the difference. It's the ranking of hardware4linux.info.

Here are the steps to follow :

1. Sign up and log in

2. Download http://hardware4linux.info/res/hwreport-0.10.0.tar.bz2

3. Extract by a right clic > "Extract here"

4. Check that the peripherals are plugged in (printer, etc.)

5. Open a terminal where you extracted the archive

6. Type cd hwreport-0.10.0

7. Then make

8. Log in root mode (su)

9. Type ./hwreport /tmp/report

10. Upload the generated report file /tmp/report.tar.bz2

Currently, there are :

Pardus 2007.2 : 8 systems
Pardus 2007.3 : 11 systems

And Pardus is 32th at http://hardware4linux.info/stats/#os
There are more than 500 Pardus users registered on this forum, so we can do better than this.

Meanwhile sneaky sliding up the charts...now ranked 43 (about 160 hits per day), whilst in the first message we'd still speak of "used to be around spot 60 (about 100 hits daily)"...

Hello,

Pardus 2008.1 will come on 15.09.2008 with;

--Install cd ( Kde 3.5.10)
--Live cd (Kde 3.5.10)
--live cd (Kde 4.1)

I think that this will help us to come under 30.

greetings

Top 40 distro now  Grin

I am quite sure if the project in  Turkey itself puts a good and comprenehnsive PR team up that translates much more in english then the distro will spread much faster and be top 20 in no time....

we'll get there sooner or later anyway  Cheesy
