I just found this review of Pardus 2008: http://celettu.wordpress.com/2008/07/02/pardus-2008/

The overall conclusion is quite positive. The author does however comment on the lack of good and up-to-date documentation both on the wiki and here in the forum.

We should start a campaign like spreadlinux.com, an initiative to spread Pardus. We should stop being silent! Write blogs, write to journals, visit linux usergroups and talk about Pardus. Do not forget, we are the community!

An excellent review. Am writing a Case Study on Pardus and found this review very useful. Am still trying to get more info from the Pardus community of developers such as:
q1. What is the approx number of developers working in each release from Pardus 1.0 to Pardus 2008.1 RC?
q2. How many developers (in q1) are paid developers or employees of UEKAE?

and many more questions. am still trying to figure out where to post the questions or whom to reach in the Pardus project.

you might try the IRC channels at irc.freenode.org:

#pardus and #pardus-devel (where the devs hang out)

They're both mainly Turkish speaking but in my experience are very friendly and will try to help you out.

Then there's the Pardus devel mailinglist at http://liste.pardus.org.tr/mailman/listinfo/pardus-devel

Thanks for the reply. Actually the case study is supposed to be one among a series (http://osor.eu/case_studies) of studies we are conducting for the EU funded OSOR.eu project. I saw the developer list with svn access before. I was just wondering are these the developers who have been working on Pardus since version 1.0? and how many of these developers are from the software development department of UEKAE. I have made a number of calls but no success yet.
waf the http://www.pardus.org.tr/eng/press/index.html is very useful.

As far as I understood from the OpenOffice presentation (see link below) about Pardus 2008.1 given by moderator Willem in the Netherlands last weekend on Software Freedom Day there are 16 paid poeple working on Pardus as developer.
40 SVN accounts.

Thanks for the info on developer count and presentation. I will check the number of developers against file sent by jnmbk.
I really appreciate help am getting from you folks in this forum. jnmbk i did send emal to info_at_pardus.org.tr and am waiting for response. I guess the forum was a good choice to get some info on Pardus
