Well,

I didn't like menu fonts of firefox 3.0 in pardus 2008. They appear so ugly.

Is this a question?  It is not Pardus 3008. It is Pardus 2008.

Have you installed the corefonts?
Using these fonts makes a lot of difference...
Just install with:

sudo sh corefonts.sh
* corefonts.sh (0.33 KB - downloaded 37 times.)

But I think that the Gnome based theme in Firefox 3 is a bit ugly indeed, especialy when I compare it with the OSx theme or the Windows theme.

Also, Firefox 3.0 is completely unstable when compared with 2.x.
It crashes all the time. Not great.

Firefox 3 works on Pardus 2008 very well but sometimes it slow - Konqueror (my favorite browser) or Opera are faster than Firefox 3 on Pardus 2008 Smiley

Hello,

I downloaded the targ-bz2-file from Firefox 3 here and unpacked it in my Home-Folder and started Firefox 3.

Till now I have no problems. Wink

I can`t install the pisi-package Firefox 3 from Pardus 2008, because I work with Pardus 2007.3 and it will no give a pisi-package for it.

The problem is the combination of flash and firefox 3.0 on linux in general. It appears that flash doesn't work well with ff3, and when flash crashes it takes ff3 down too.

I also have problem with Firefox look. I have done upgrade from 2007.3 to 2008. Firefox and all others gtk applications was very ugly - i think they used default gtk style.

Then I erased next files from my home dir:
.gtk_qt_engine_rc
.gtkrc-2.0
.gtkrc-2.0-kde

And now situation is much better. I still have some minor issue with tabs in gtk apps but the rest is ok.

Default design of Gnomme realy horrible. I'm using this theme for Firefox:

Firefox is really getting on my nerves now, crashing all the time.
Either an official patch is released soon, or I move to Opera presto.
