When Pardus 2008 is loading...it gets to the screen where it shows various things initializing (like the desktop).  The background during this is the blue "Pardus 2007" one...has anyone else experienced this and can it be changed?

You may miss an artwork package. Check within the package manager.

Same here when you load an existing 2007 user. The settings in /home must not be overwritten I guess.
Works fine if you create a new user in 2008 though.

Claus:  Well, I see "Appearance & Themes".  It's not the wallpaper so I tried Splash Screen.  When I choose anything but the "Pardus" (which is the golden one) and then click test it shows the background that I chose as things are initializing.  BUT...when I choose the Pardus choice & click test it shows the old blue Pardus 2007 one!  I'd rather not set up a new user...seems like this should be easier than it's turning out to be...

The easiest thing is to set it to "nothing".
The screen remains yellow when it loads.
