DTP sofwtare Scribus is one of the missing packages in Pardus 2008 as compared to 2007.3 repo's.

Can the 2007 Scribus pisi be used in Pardus 2008 or should I wait untill Scribus becomes available again for downloading in the 2008 repositories?

Hello,

you can try it to install Scribus from the 2007 Repo. When installing without problem and Scribus runs, then all is o.k., I think. Wink

Bit strange:

When I just downloaded the single PISI packages, made it executable and tried to install it nothing happened (after double clicking the PISI icon and chossing continue).
Hiowever after adding http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/os/Linux/distr/pardusrepo/2008-test/pisi-index.xml.bz2 to my repo's in Package Manager I could install Scribus like any other package without a problem.

Anyway I have Scribus installed now on my Pardus 2008 system also.
