Another issue from a new vbox user.
I tried to install virtualbox-guestadditions but I obtain only this error (in italian):

Quote
tr.org.pardus.comar.python.Exception: La dipendenza kernel release 95 del pacchetto virtualbox non รจ soddisfatta

Translation: Dependence kernel release 95 of the virtualbox package isn't satisfied.
Sorry for my english!

I use Pardus 2008 in virtualbox-ose on a debian sid machine.

Seems Pardus had removed VirtualBox from its repositories, right?

Dear Andreas, thanks for your hint.
I verified that, I have the right repo in Package Manager, and virtualbox exist in the repo.
But using the Find box to search for virtualbox, I obtain anything.
Maybe the pisi-index files have some problems?

Hello,

I received this information:

Code:
Virtual Box's Open Source Edition doesn't support GCC 4.x series what means
this is a Virtualbox problem not Pardus one. So you must download the binary
you need from here: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

Click Binaries link then choose "linux(i386)" one from the dropdown menu then
you ou can install it by " sudo sh VirtualBox-1.6.4-Linux_x86.run ".

P.S: also kernel-source, gcc and make  are deps you need to compile it

Code:
The package signed "obsolete" in pisi-index
and would not maintained anymore.
Greetings
Andreas

There is more info needed to install VirtualBox than the above info.
I made a wiki: http://en.pardus-wiki.org/HOWTO:VirtualBox
It is not finished yet, but it works as it is right now. Smiley
Now it is finished.
