For the moment I have this:
http://forum.pardus-linux.nl/index.php?topic=1138.0
it is in Dutch, but that is all I have in this moment.
Try http://translate.google.com/
I will start making an English version.
But that will take some time.
When you find some other usefull links, you are kindly requested to put them in this topic.

Solved! Thanks 'Atolboo'. Yours is a very comprehensive and somewhat daunting set of instructions but I made a start. Firstly I'm running Pardus 2008 so maybe the menu layouts differ and I really struggled with the Dutch language.
I had everything set-up on the Windows network so I didn't need to touch that. Next I just wanted to transfer files although I may have a crack at configuring the printer before long.
I went into {Tasma} {Service Manager} and enabled {SMB Network sharing} to be {run on startup} and rebooted. I double clicked on the {System} icon on the desktop, {Common Folders} {Network Folders} {Samba Shares} and in there were {Mshome} and {Pardus} icons. Double clicking {Mshome} showed my Windows PC and subsequently the shared directories. So, I got there, dead easy when you know how , thanks again for your friendly support.

Thanks for your reaction.  Smiley

........... to be {run on startup} and rebooted.
Rebooting is not necessary.

My problem with making the English version is that I don't have an English XP-version.
And to do a good job I want to know the exact English text in XP.
