hi i got a strange problem and i think its a kernel bug Sad

when i boot up or down or if i am in my running pardus at work my second hd
sound like it spins down - like a shutdown- or engery gets lost.
but immediatly it spins up again and is doing well until the next time - there is no rule which it follows.. it can be at boot up or after 5 minutes running and a minute later or after 20 minutes or at shutdown...

can anybody confirm?  Huh?

I can't confirm it, because I work with Pardus 2007.3 and I think you do it too.  Wink

a had this behavier some time before.
but the reason was the hardware. the conectors lost contact.
open your case and check the connectors.

yakamoz,
maybe you need the additional electric power cable besides the usb connector.

The problem can be caused by a deficient or an insufficient power supply.
