Hello everybody! I installed Pardus two or three days ago after reading
http://wamukota.blogspot.com/2008/06/pardus-2008-testdrive.html, and I love it already. There are only two things that I can't seem to find in the repositories and that I'd have trouble living without.
1. Evolution. I could probably learn to live with KMail, but I've been living with Evolution for months on other distros. (I know there would probably be a lot of dependencies and maybe not an easy task for the PiSi package builders, but it would really be appreciated.)
http://www.gnome.org/projects/evolution/download.shtml2. DOSEMU. I have found DOSbox in the repo, but most people who still need or use the old business applications, like Q&A and WordPerfect 5.1, find that DOSEMU is more for them. DOSbox, I understand, does a good job with games.
http://dosemu.sourceforge.net/stable/Outside of that, Pardus is just about perfect. It's fast on my computer (most KDE distributions are a lot slower) and I was able to set up my favorite Webradio sites with no problems. I can say already that if anybody around here asks me to help them get started in Linux, I would try Pardus first.
I would like to say, thanks for having Emacs 23 in the repo. Not everybody has that one yet.
On edit: just read the first thread, and saw that Andreas wished us to link to the sources. I hope these links are what is wanted.
