It is my pleasure to confirm that
pisi li xorg-proto led to a perfect dosemu install, following the instructions in PhiX's post, #6 on this thread.
Atolboo, how on earth did you figure that out???
I haven't installed any DOS programs yet -- I need to customize a few things to make WordPerfect run, and after a ten-hour day I probably won't get to it tonight -- but the directory structure is recognizable, and I don't anticipate any trouble.
I'm gratified that my beginner question unearthed a way to make Pardus Linux even more versatile.
In case there are any old-school WordPerfectionists reading this thread, you'll want to know about:
http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/wpdos/linux.htmlIt's the Linux part of Edward Mendelsohn's stunning
WordPerfect for DOS Updated site. You will have to tweak your dosemu.conf and a couple of system files for maximum performance, but the tweaks are well-explained and quite easy.
