I started loading my contacts into KAddressBook. Does anybody happen to know where the data files are kept? I'd like to keep them safely backed up and/or copy them to other computers when I get Pardus safely installed on them.

Thanks.

Hello,

here you find the data-files: Wink

/usr/kde/3.5/include/kaddressbook

Hi Andreas,

The only files I can find in that directory are C header files, no data files.

(A few minutes later) Aha! Found it! system:/home/.kde/share/apps/kabc

That's where I have about 20 .vcf files, mostly identical (I've only got three contacts in there so far, because I didn't want to get carried away before learning what to do with them all!).

They cleverly stored it under /apps/kabc instead of /apps/kaddressbook, which is where I looked.

I'll figure out why there are so many of them there one of these days.

Best wishes,

Eddie
