I have been unable to start the installation. I get some python error that says it could not re-read the patition table after setting one of the partitions for Pardus System files.

My laptop is a multi-boot one with Windows and two other Linux distributions on it.

So, my question is: Can I install Pardus 2008.1 on an existing partition?

we need more information about your Hardware and which HP Laptop it is exactly.

Also you can post here the error messages by starting installation, if it is possible. Wink

For dualbooting please have a look here
