Got my first laptop with 2 160 Gig drives, one with Vista...
Found no decent laptop without windooz.
Installed Slack, Mandriva and Ubuntu on the other drive.
Saw the new release of Pardus (Hyaena) and gave it a try.
It' s really an amazing experience: within an hour a complete, nice OS with all you need.
At the first boot Pardus guides you with setting up wifi, video (ati) etc..
Compliments for the Pardus team!!!!

Guide seniors at their first steps with the computer.
They all come with windooz; it' s practically impossible to get a computer and especially a laptop without that OS.
And they have no idea there is something much better.
I'll show them Firefox, OpenOffice in windooz and.. Pardus in a VirtualBox on Vista Smiley  Cool

The same here on an Acer aspire 5315.

Windoze vista was way toooooo slow for this laptop and Pardus is about the only distro that can handle my atheros ar5007eg WIFI CARD.

Its a great distro and it`s getting better al the time.

Thanks for these feedbacks.
I have added these two laptops to the french wiki compatibility list.
Please add in your laptop models to the wiki hardware database : http://en.pardus-wiki.org/Hardware:Contents and to http://www.hardware4linux.info.

Thanks azra, I have added it to the french wiki.
As you have one, you can add it to the english wiki and leave a comment. You just have to create a login/password. The wiki syntax is simple to learn.
