Hello,

Brand new to Pardu. Really like it and installed it. It's quickly becoming my favorite.

I would like to install the latest rc10 of opennvpn 2.1 but I'm having trouble building it from source. I'm unable to use openvpn 2.09 for the scripts I need to use. The error I get on
Code:
./connfigure
is...

Quote
configure: checking for pkcs11-helper Library and Header files...
checking pkcs11-helper-1.0/pkcs11h-core.h usability... no
checking pkcs11-helper-1.0/pkcs11h-core.h presence... no
checking for pkcs11-helper-1.0/pkcs11h-core.h... no
pkcs11-helper headers not found.

Any suggestions or help is very appreciated.

Hi, welcome to Pardus.

I've whacked together a quick pisi file of openvpn 2.1_rc10, keep in mind though it's an unofficial build. I don't know anything about the program itself so I haven't tested it but it does build and install cleanly. It's basically an alternative for if you can't get it built successfully or can't wait until the official repo is updated (likely to be after the next stable release of openvpn).

If you'd prefer or have any problems, I'm happy to post the steps taken in creating it.

To install (as root):

pisi it openvpn-2.1_rc10-5.pisi

Note for noscript users: First time I've used box.net for file hosting, seems like you need to allow box.net and boxcdn.net. It seems slightly more reputable than sites like rapidshare but that's all I know about it.

That's awesome. I got the file and I'll give it a try today. That was a quick response. Thanks for that.
