This magazine looks really great, regarding both the informative content and the realisation.
Please ! O please ! I beg you turkish fellows : give us an english version so we can translate it into ours respective languages.
Personnaly, I am ready to pay a small subscribe fee to read it.

I second that.

It's seems to be a very informative magazine what I can see with my non- existent turkish!

This request has now been made for the third time.

It is quite disappointing that none of the people in Turkey apparently can or want to take the time to deliver an english version and also apparently not a single Pardus user abroad (who is reading the worldforum) that speaks turkish and wants to do the translation job has made him or herself known so far as well.

Is there in the entire world not a single person that speaks turkish and is willing to translate a bit?

Come on, let's make Pardus even bigger, spread the word IN ENGLISH please.
Further translations from english are no problem but who does the translation from turkish?

Would it be worthwhile to copy-paste it on a *shudder* online translator and get the community here to try to piece it in English?

Online translation is.....interesting at best, but one might be able to get the gist of a passage, and from there we might be able to rewrite it..

Not a perfect solution.

I don't understand what your solution is. Are you talking about a technical way of easing the translation work, or a way to find people able and willing to start the translation ?

I am saying, that many of us don't know Turkish and can't translate. But online translators can translate Turkish into broken English. Users might be able to get the gist of the articles and turn it into normal English.

The people are here already. I offered help in making an English version long time ago. They are using a Python based CMS, and offered to make an English one ages ago.
I would also pay big bugs to see this site in English.  Wink

Excellent idea.
I tried to translate the webpage online, this... unfortunately failed miserably. I'm currently downloading Windows-platform software which I'm going to run under Wine to translate the web page. The finished copy will be made available here, PardusWiki, and ThePirateBay (thepiratebay.org/user/Mhmrcs).

I'll keep posting messages on this topic updating the current situation.

(Babylon does not work)

*** Please note that the finished copy (if indeed there will be one) will be in broken English (or any other language its translated into).

(Lingvo was not available)
(http://intertran.tranexp.com/Translate/result.shtml = Produces very broken translationans)

Utter disaster.
One of the writers of the magazine is a Turkish developer I keep in contact with, I'm sending him an email asking him to offer an English version of the magazine.

That is actually being considered but it requires a lot more of our
already limited workforce. But will be looking into it, thanks again
for the reminder."

The developer I sent the email to, Necmettin Begiter, is also the co-ordinator for the translation of Pardus.
