Pisi GUI Package Manager

Auto search when searching for a package is somewhat annoying.  Would be nice to have an option to turn off.  Pardus is a great distribution.

I agree: slows down searching considerably IMO.

In all, despite the changes having been made, on my Pardus system PISI package managment has never become really fast as indexing/searching concerns.

The install or delete process itself goes quite fast, that is not the problem.

He means when you serach for a package in PISI GUI manager, let's say you want to search for "abiword". As soon as you have typed the letter A it starts searching/indexing and then it takes one or two seconds (or more) before you are even able to type the letters B and I of abiword.

This "auto search" feature slows down therefore.
I would also prefer typing at least the first three letters and then giving the "search" order to speed up things.

I agree, it slows down the program considerably. The kick-off(/start not sure) Pardus Menu doesn't perform the required speed either, instead of offering a half-decent feature, they should take it out altogether in my opinion.
