Administrator password.pardus wiki. installation

At the beginning it advises that the first user listed should have the box checked for
"give administrator privileges to this user". It requires you to create a password (user?)
2 screens later it requires that a "root"password be created,in the "Administrator password" screen

BUT close to the end of the installation wiki at the
"Network card authentication" screen it says for juser to use his user password
"Enter at [1] your user password."
Surely the root password should be entered here?
or
to put it another way
What is the root password used for?
Sorry if there is something very obvious that I am failing to see

Correct me if I'm wrong but for some operations you will need the root - password such as upgrading the system from within the console, changing the SAMBA - configuration in TASMA etc. Other operations requires only the user - password (with administrator privileges). I can't answer what determines which level of privilege is required though. To me it seems fairly random sometimes.
For example upgrading the system with the PISI - gui requires only admin rights while the command "lspci" requires root - privileges.
HOwever The network - services in the Desktop or in KAPTAN requires only admin - rights.

Regardless whether you mark the check-box or not, every user must have a password.

Surely the root password should be entered here?

You should enter the password for the name which is displayed after [User:].

What is the root password used for?

To make system-wide (display driver, samba, software repositories ....) changes you need administrator privileges.
You can get these privileges with the root password or ( when "give administrator privileges to this user" check-box has been marked) with your user password.
Look in the  Authentication window  behind User: which is needed.
When you don't put a mark at "give administrator privileges to this user", you get an authentication screen as shown bellow.
Watch the difference between this one and the installation manual.

I am easily confused and hope that you will have the time to provide some more details.
You say

But  "all users should check the administrator box"
 
Perhaps it is the word OR that is confusing me.
Or the use of the term "super user" used in the screen shot of the "Network card authentication" in the wiki
Perhaps if you told me which password should be (was) used in the wiki" Network card authentication" screenshot it would help
Was it the one that was created in the"juser" screenshot wiki (first user)
or
was it the one created in the "Administrator password" screenshot?

Every user with a marked "give administrator privileges" check-box can become "super user (or root)" by means of his user password.

It seems that part of my confusion was caused by my failure to realize that "administrator" is not the same as "super user"
If all users are to have the "administrator" box checked then "user" and "administrator" become synonymous.
As "MitraMai" observed:

to
"authentication as administrator (or "user") is required to perform this action" i will be less confused!

I took this to mean that I should NOT use the one created in the "administrator password screen"

The wiki text instruction says:
Enter at [1] the password of the user shown after User

But, within the authentication window itself it asks for the super user password which would seem to be the one that was created in the "administrator password screen"
Your comment that you will change the text must refer to the following sentence:
Enter at [1] the password of the user shown after User.
What will you change it to?

Phix points out that:

root = administrator = super user
user = simple user. He can be granted some administrative rights by the administrator.
