Thank you Phix
I have still a question:
in 4. How do I find out, and
what do I have to change in 5, and WHERE ??!
I am a beginner with KONSOLE
sudo pisi up
sudo pisi clean
sudo pisi delete-cache
That is about all I did...yes and cal
when I type cfdisk , I guess that there is a list , and then....
PS...And IMPORTANT:
Are NOWHERE spaces inbetween the code's?Huh?
par example: chroot or c h root Huh?
I thought the changing of shell is the command chsh and not ch ...I understand that you want me to come into my rootshell ?!

PhiX, interesting HOWTO.

One question, must "MyPardus"  in your example codes be replaced, or can you just leave that as MyPardus or any other random name?

You just have to read the partition table. The table is composed of columns and rows. Here is an example of display :

NameFlagsPart TypeFS TypeLabel Size(MB)
sda1bootPrimaryext3 PARDUS_ROOT6000

In this example x=1.

and
what do I have to change in 5, and WHERE ??!

You have to replace the letter 'x' by a number.
In my example, "mount /dev/sdax/MyPardus/boot" should be "mount /dev/sda1 /MyPardus/boot"

PS...And IMPORTANT:
Are NOWHERE spaces inbetween the code's?Huh?

chroot is a command, so there is no space between its letters. The spaces in the command lines must be strictly respected, otherwise you will get error messages. If they are not visible enough on the forum, you can copy/paste them in a text file and print them.
For example, in the first command line, there are only two space characters. They are at either side of "-p".
mkdir -p /MyPardus/{boot,proc}

No, "MyPardus" - or whatever you want to name the Pardus system you want to enter in - stays.
If you want to name it "banana", it will work as well, as long as you use it all along in the command lines.

The aim is not to enter your /home partition, labeled "PARDUS_HOME" in cfdsik, but to enter the root partition - labeled "PARDUS_ROOT" - of the filesystem you installed on your harddrive.
So, do not skip any steps.

In 8. it is rm -Rf. The "-" matters.

You can use install CD 2007 or 2008, it doesn't matter.

PHIX:

I did exactly what you told me, but there must be somewhat in between step 2 and 3
Because;
I started 2007.1 install CD and all I've got was the followig:
Pardus 2007.1 felis chaus standard
Pardus 2007.1 felis chaus graphics mode
Pardus 2007.1 felis chaus minimum
Memory test
Continue from harddisk (which I also tried!!)
Other Languages

So NO KONSOLE whatever...

And with the Pardus 2008, I couldn't even come into the (three by me)kernel possibilities or whatever!!
At least in 2007.1 I've got the blue-Green Leopard head...
So ...I'm down

Do as you did for the installation : press ENTER to launch the install CD.
The kernel loads itself, you have got a progression bar, and finally you reach the "license screen", where you are asked to accept the GPL license. Don't do it. Instead, type Ctrl-Alt-F1.
