I have now noticed on several occasions that I cannot print from Firefox.

E.g. when I use a routeplanner and I want to print the results, a printing window opens and I am able to select my installed printer however the Print or Afdrukken (in dutch) button remains greyed out, I can only choose Cancel / Annuleren (in dutch).

Then I went to the same routeplanner by means of Konqueror, give the print order again, and everything worked fine.

What I did notcie is that Konqueror opens another Printing dialog window then Firefox which appears to open it's own type of printing dialog window (with far less options, Konqueror I guess uses the system printing dialog in which e.g. at the bottom CUPS is mentioned, I will posts screenshots as an example).

Anyone had similar problems and know how to solve this Firefox wo'nt let me print bug?

I still can not find out how to edit the about:config of Firefox in order to make the printing dialog in Firefox work for my CUPS connected printer. Anyone a suggestion?

Printing from e.g. Konqueror is no problem, it is a Firefox/Thunderbird/Mozilla related problem.

I have Googled and came across lots of links but I haven't found the right one to solve my issue yet.

Here is (as attachment) my prefs.js file, which is situated in my /home/my-username/.mozilla/firefox/0yv1f8ma.default/ directory.
This file only contains the "user_pref("print." values.
Maybe this will help to solve your problem !  Wink
