Hi,

Arrow keys, Home, End etc. unresponsive. Also I can't assign CapsLock as a keyboard layout switch (Tasma->Peripherals->Keyboard Shortcuts->Shortcut Schemes->Global Shortcuts->Switch to Next Keyboard Layout).

Hello and welcome, Smiley

I think you must first do this:

Tasma > Peripherals > Key assignment > Keyboard layout activate

Thanks, bubbel! Could you please be more exact in your wording? There are no such places in Tasma.

We haven't yet pinpointed the problem, I suspect: I'm just trying to follow the usual KDE routine, but it won't wash...

UPD:

I've had this problem on another distro: it's xorg/hotplugging related. Using Evdev-managed keyboard should do the trick, but now it does not Smiley .

My english is not so good, because I am a German. Shocked

Tasma > Peripherals > Keyboard configuration > Keyboard layout activate

Look please my German screenshot.

Of course! That's what I mean by the 'usual routine'. It's just that I'm not having the usual results...

Looks like I have to recheck this...

Turned out that 'Evdev-managed keyboard' isn't good for the special keys Smiley . With hotplugging it should be the other way around.

If by any chance somebody has a clear understanding of these things, please, share! Or, at least, supply useful links Smiley .
