You are very welcome, and the first thing I have to tell you is that the international (!) Pardus users community (which is growing...of course) is very much in need of native turkish speaking people that are willing tot translate some Pardus related news every now and then, e.g. the e-zine at http://www.ozgurlukicin.com/ , it is a pity that one is only in turkish, since most international users do not understand turkish. I am pretty sure Pardus would gain even more users and would spread worldwide much faster if the core news was also available in english

Please join the discussions!

Well, I am glad to help on anything needed, but ozgurlukicin.com is huge platform for me to translate, but tell me if you need anything particular.

Welcome yasar !

Pardus e-zine or ozgurlukicin.com magazine translation are not a one-man job for sure.
I would personnaly appreciate to have english documentation on COMAR, one of the Pardus core technologies :

Hi Yasar,

You "speak" English well!  I wish I knew the Turkish language.

Welcome to the worldforum and glad you are enjoying Pardus Linux.  So far, I have two other Linux disto's on my computer, and I don't use them, as Pardus is easy for me to use.

Can you tell we are desperate for Turkish to English translations?  Don't let us scare you away by trying to put you to work.   Grin  It is nice that you joined up here and hope you can visit often.
Regards, Lisa Marie

Welcome aboard, Yasar!

To all: is it possible to create a poll on this forum? I mean, concerning the materials which need translation from Turkish most badly  Smiley ...

If you do that I will need to try to get more Turkish people to this forum. I have authorization to add things on http://www.pardus-linux.org/, at main page as news.

@yasar:

Could you translate this wiki page about PISI package building / structure into english perhaps if you have some spare time?

There is already http://en.pardus-wiki.org/Pisi_Package for that but not very instructive. I'll make additions to that wiki.

By the way I got some bad news for you guys. There are two (at least) types of internet connections. The one for the home users and the one for university internet connections. Home users somehow can't access this site. Only by using ktunnel, vtunnel etc. May internet server of this iste somehow forbids Turkish IPs or something

I first thought he mentioned the wiki site itself.

But I have no idea (nor has Willem I guess) why this domain should not be available to some internet users.

(Of course one does have to register first, since spammers got active here earlier)

After I made some additions to that wiki, admins of wiki moved my article to a different location arguing that that wiki was for only basic information. You can find my version here ==> http://en.pardus-wiki.org/Making_Pisi_Packages

You can also follow a link that admin give to my edited version. It is at the beginning of the old wiki page saying that:

This article tells only the basics of pisi package building. For a detailed version see: Making Pisi Packages
