Does your friend have a wireless keyboard/mouse combination? Or more general (if it could be keyboard related) what type of keyboard/mouse does he have?
He has not a wireless keyboad/mouse combination and the keyboard and the mouse are connected separately by usb. Greetings bubbel

He can try with a PS2 keyboard. USB mice are often sold with an USB/PS2 adapter.
Thanks PhiX, I will tell him. Greetings bubbel

Hello,
it actually is a problem of the hardware. The USB recognition wanted to play neither with Knoppix nor Mandriva.
