Hi Michiel and Andreas,

It tried those files. I had to activate the Cups web interface, because the Pardus printer installer didn't give me any information, this way I could see that Cups couldn't find the printer. The printer has it's own network connection through WIFI.

I googled around a bit and found out that Canon uses a proprietary driver to control the printer. There is a opensource version of this BNJP driver on SourceForge and there is also a Linux driver from Canon. I had a look at the SourceForge version and it looks like it needs to be compiled. For the Canon driver  I could find instructions how to install it under Ubuntu and Suse, but not for Pardus. I know to little about Linux to know what method to choose.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks,
Frank

Thanks again Andreas.

Looks like there is a problem with the Sourgeforge driver.
